We love to explore life’s challenges through open and engaging conversations, and believe that following Jesus, even when it goes against the current, is the wisest way you can live your life. We produce Upstream, a show of honest, humorous discussions on being a Christ-follower in a secular culture, monthly. Our first book is The Pursuit, a 40-day journey into the basics of Biblical Christianity, and is available under the “Books” tab. Life is hard, but God is good!

Upstream with Jim and Jon is a podcast featuring father and son conversations about discipleship and culture in the post-Christian world. Listen in as we seek to follow the way of Jesus against the currents of culture, religion, and our own human inclinations, to find answers to life’s most common challenges.
BLOG
While Upstream provides a conversational look at pressing issues, our blog allows us to address those topics, and others, on a more technical level. It serves a second purpose as well, in that we can write on issues that either don’t work well in the podcast format, or are too brief to fill an entire episode. We also post portions of the books that are currently in production. We would love to hear from you in the comments!

We are passionate writers who love practical advice for believers that want to go deeper in their faith. Whether in your personal relationship with God, or in your ministry to those around you, our priority is to help you be a better follower of Jesus. Our first book is The Pursuit, a 40 day devotional exploring the basics of Biblical Christianity.
